aeroponic medium for growing tomatoes: what is the ideal ppm?

Quote

I am using a 4-18-38 Masterblend tomato & vegetable formula plus Ammonium Calcium Nitrate plus Epson salt  (2 TSP + 2 TSP ) .  What is an ideal ppm nutrient solution?

Correction - addition to my initial post:  Masterblend 2 teaspoons, Ammonium Calcium Nitrate 2 teaspoons, Epson salt 2 teaspoons - into 5 gallons of water ...

I believe the recommended ppm for tomatoes is 1400-3500.

If you peg at 2000, it works well. I have never gone higher than 2200 with very good results. HOWEVER It is dependent on your temperatures. If you think about it higher temps require more water for the plant same food, when lower temp needs less water , thus a higher EC needed for lower temps.
