Recommended Hydroponic Supplies

I often get emails from readers wanting to know what hydroponic supplies I use and what products I would recommend.

When it comes to supplies for your hydroponic garden, the most expensive isn’t allows worth it or even the best. I look for quality hydroponic supplies that are both effective and affordable.

I will update this page as I come across and use different hydroponic supplies that have worked great with my hydroponic gardens.

Hydroponic Nutrients

Dyna Grow Nutrients

I recommend Dyna Grow one-part nutrient regiment for beginners and general hydroponic hobbyists. It’s easy to use and produces great results. I especially like the Foilage Pro for growing hydroponic lettuce.

General Hydroponics FloraSeries

This is a great three-part nutrient solution that allows you to customize your nutrient regimen to the type of plants your growing.

Grow Room Equipment

Grow Tent

Before getting a grow tent my garage was lit up with the purple hue of my led grow light. My wife didn’t enjoy the bar sign look and I had to get a grow tent.

Grow Room Glasses

Many people overlook the need for eye protection when working in their indoor garden. Grow lights can be extremely harmful to your eyes.

Pruning Shears

Pruning and harvesting is part of regular maintenance as your plants grow.

Hydroponic Grow Medium

Hydroton

There are many different types of grow medium you can use in your hydroponic garden but I really enjoy the benefits of hydroton expanded clay.

Ph Control

pH Measurement

There are several ways to measure the pH of your nutrient solution. I find an electronic pH meter to be the quickest and most convenient.

Ph Regulation

You will need to adjust the pH of your nutrient solution often.

Lighting

350 watt LED

600 watt LED

1000 watt LED

Hydroponic System Parts

3 inch Net Pots

Not all net pots are built the same. Some net posts lack a lip at the top which doesn’t provide enough support. I recommend getting the ones with the lip.

5-Gallon Net Pot Bucket Lid

These lids fit on 5-gallon buckets, perfect for making a DWC hydroponic bucket. Out of all the 5-gallon lids I’ve tried, these ones have fit the buckets the best. You can’t beat the price for the quality.

Ebb and Flow Kit

Looking to make your own ebb and flow hydroponic system? You’ll definitely need this ebb and flow kit!
